Things That Inspire

I am a picky art person. If you asked what my favorite artist was or favorite style of art, I could honestly not tell you because I don't think that I've viewed any artist's work yet that I enjoy completely. Maybe after 15 weeks of blogging, stumbling and surfin across the 'net I will be able to discover and claim an art style of my own or at least find a pattern behind them all. Who knows!  :]

Here are some pieces that I thoroughly enjoy looking at. Something about them calms me and makes me smile.

Dustyn Bork, I wish you would make me some of these just cause they are so stinking cool. Haha. I'm not saying that for suck up points (even though I could probably use some) but I confess that when these were up in the Kresge Gallery I would stop by and stare at them. You can always find something new in them, and it was exciting. :]

This is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES.

Why yes, it IS the classic Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh! I feel like such a cheesy unoriginal person for liking this, but blue is my all time favorite and the swirls of color reminds me of a time when I looked up at the night sky in Colorado and it seemed endless. I will never stop loving this painting. Ever.
